Pablo Terrazas

Vicepresident Executive Corfo

Lawyer and Master in Environmental Law.
Before being appointed as Corfo Vice- President, he was Undersecretary of Mining.
He has developed a career as a public servant, playing a role as legislative advisor in the National Congress between 2014-2018. Also, was Chief of Advisors at the Ministry of Interior, between 2012 and 2014. Adding to that, he was Legal Director of the Ministry of the President’s Office and of the Regional Development Undersecretary.

León de la Torre

Ambassador of the European

Union in Chile

León de la Torre Krais is a Spanish lawyer and diplomat. He has a degree in Law and in Business Management and entered the Diplomatic Career in 1994, date from which he has been assigned to Spanish diplomatic representations in Ecuador and China. He was cultural advisor at the Spanish Embassy in Chile and in 2006 he became head of the Cabinet of the President of the Constitutional Court. Since June 2011 he served as ambassador of Spain in Nicaragua, and from September 2016 to August 2020 he was the ambassador of the European Union in Bolivia. He currently holds the position of Ambassador of the European Union in Chile.

Mr. Juan Carlos Jobet

Minister of Energy, Chile

Juan Carlos Jobet leads the Ministry of Energy with the mission of catalyzing the transition to a decarbonized energy system that enables a carbon-neutral economy in Chile. He holds a degree in Business Management from Universidad Católica de Chile, as well as Master’s Degrees in Business Administration and in Public Administration from Harvard University. His career began at corporate finance consulting and has subsequently held several positions in the public and private sectors, such as Undersecretary of Housing and Minister of Labor and Social Welfare.

Alicia Bárcena Ibarra

Secretary Executive, CEPAL

She is the Executive Secretary of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (CEPAL). She previously served as Deputy Secretary General for Management at United Nations Headquarters in New York. At CEPAL, she served as Deputy Executive Secretary and Director of the Environment and Human Settlements Division. At the United Nations she was Coordinator of the Sustainable Development Programme for Latin America and the Caribbean of the United Nations Development Programme (PNUD) and Coordinator of the Environmental Citizenship Project of the United Nations Environment Programme (PNUMA).

She is also a member of the Board of Directors of Energía de la Patagonia y Aysén S.A. María Paz is MSc.in Carbon Management from the University of Edinburgh and Industrial Civil Engineer from the Universidad de Concepción, Chile.

Leader of the German PwC Energy, Utilities & Resources Network. He chairs the global PwC network for Commodity Trading & Risk Management. Member in working groups of the German Institute of Certified Accountants and represents PwC at the Deutsches Nationales Komitee des Weltenergierates (DNK). German CPA and certified Tax Consultant. He graduated as Diplom Kaufmann at Johann Wolfgang Gothe University in Frankfurt. Consults and audits international industrial companies regarding Treasury and Commodity Trading. His industry focus are multinational energy companies.

Ricardo is Chief Advisor to the Ministry of Mining. Previously he was Senior Manager for Bain & Company. He is a Civil Engineer of Industries from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and holds an MBA from the Kellogg School  of  Management.

Vicepresidente de Tecnología e Innovación, Angloamerican

With 25 years in mining and metallurgical processing, his experience includes projects management, business improvement, commissioning and defining business and operational strategies within the mining industry. He was part of the Senior Executive team in the world’s second largest copper mine, able to fulfill objectives in a safe and sustainable way. He has more than 5 years of international exposure in Australia (BHP Billiton) and South Africa (Anglo American).

Jefe de la Unidad de Nuevos Energéticos, Ministerio de Energía de Chile

Head of the New Energies Unit of the Chilean Ministry of Energy, where he is responsible for the Chilean green hydrogen strategy deployment. Before joining the Ministry, he served as commercial specialist in AES Andes and as a consultant in Systep Ingenieria y Diseños in the Regulation and Electricity Market area, where he also was Project Leader. He also worked at Tritec Intervento as a developer of the solar photovoltaic ready-to-build projects. Camilo holds a degree in Engineering and a Masters in Engineering Science from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.

Diederick is a seasoned expert in the gas industry and has a wide experience within the Air Liquide Group. He has held many management positions in Logistics, Engineering, Controlling, M&A and General Management.   Today he is responsible for 9 countries in NW Europe and CIS for the acceleration of the hydrogen economy to decarbonise the mobility sector.

Senior expert for the Corfo´s Solar Energy Committee (2015-2020) and technical advisor for Atacama Module and System Technology Consortium (2017). Anise Ganbold leads the commodities team at Aurora, which provides analysis and forecasts for hydrogen, natural gas, oil, coal, and carbon. Anise has over ten years of experience in energy analysis, including consulting and building forecasting models. Prior to Aurora, she managed the long-term power team at ICIS, and led the long-term gas team at S&P Global Platts. Anise has an LL.M From Queen Mary, London and LL.B from the London School of Economics.

Director of the Division for Sustainable Development and Human Settlements of the United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC). He was Director of the Center for Sustainable Transportation of Mexico City and Coordinator of International Affairs of the Ministry of Environment, Natural Resources and Fisheries. He holds a PhD in Natural Resources from the Faculty of Economics of the National Autonomous University of Mexico, a degree in Economics from the Autonomous Metropolitan University, a master's degree in International Political Economy from the University of the Americas and a Fellow of the International LEAD Program of the Colegio De México.

Electronic Civil Engineer, mentioned in Telecommunications at the Federico Santa María Technical University. He advised the commercial operations area of the Electroandina thermal power plant. Has a Master's Degree in Renewable Energies at the University of Zaragoza, Spain. He is the technical supervisor of the European Renaissance project on energy efficiency in buildings. In 2012 he joined the JACOBS Consultancy as an Energy Management and Efficiency Engineer in mining pre-investment projects. He is Senior Advisor of the Renewable Energies and Energy Efficiency program developed by GIZ, in conjunction with the Ministry of Energy of Chile.

At DNV he has participated in hydrogen feasibility studies covering green hydrogen and ammonia production and maritime export/import supply chains, including offshore production. Prior to DNV he worked at an engineering company where he researched CO2 transformation into chemicals and the feasibility of electrochemical ammonia synthesis. At the start of his career he worked with small scale hydrogen fuel cells for stationary and transport applications. He holds BA and MEng degrees from the University of Cambridge, MSc in Renewable Energy and Executive MBA.

Has a degree in Electrical Civil Engineering at the Universidad Católica, and is finishing her Master's studies in Science Engineering. She has experience as a research project coordinator at the Audio Technologies Research Center of the Universidad Católica and she is an assistant professor at the same university in the course on digital entrepreneurship. In 2017 she founded Suncast. She was nominated by the Ministry of Energy to participate in  the Advisory Committee that will update the country's energy policy, and also, nominated by the Ministry of Economy to represent Chile at the APEC Women-led Start-Up Accelerator Workshop.

Head of Technology at CEA LITEN, CEA Tech France

Head of technology at CEA-LITEN (Innovation laboratory for new energy technologies and nanomaterials. He graduated from Université Grenoble Alpes as PhD in science and materials engineering. At CEA-INES (French National Institute for Solar Energy) he developed photovoltaic heterojunction technology from lab to industrial application with ENEL Green Power (2007-2019). He was head of innovation at CEA’s Division for energy (2019-2020). From 2020, he has extended his expertise to new technologies for energy at CEA-LITEN as head of technology. In Chile, he has been particularly active in ATAMOSTEC.
